Identity is carried with pride.
Tradition echoes through generations.
Created by Lalamri Dadam, this original leather wall hanging is inspired by the rich cultural heritage of the Mursi community.
Crafted from natural leather and finished with delicate white painted lines and dots, the composition draws inspiration from the artistic traditions of Mursi body adornment. Every pattern reflects a visual language shaped by identity, ceremony and generations of shared knowledge.
The warm earth tones of the leather create a timeless backdrop, allowing every detail to speak with quiet strength and elegance.
Every line carries meaning.
Every mark honors a living tradition.
Rather than reproducing cultural expressions, this artwork offers a contemporary interpretation inspired by the people of the Mursi community and the traditions they continue to preserve with pride.
Created with respect, it celebrates the enduring beauty, dignity and cultural identity of a living heritage.

About the Mursi Community
The Mursi people have lived in Ethiopia's Omo Valley for generations, preserving a cultural identity that is deeply rooted in community, tradition and resilience.
Their distinctive adornments, body painting and ceremonial traditions are expressions of identity, belonging and cultural pride. Using natural pigments and handcrafted jewellery, they continue artistic practices that have been passed from one generation to the next, celebrating important moments in life and strengthening the bonds within their community.
Like many Indigenous communities around the world, the Mursi balance the preservation of their heritage with the realities of a rapidly changing world. Their traditions continue to evolve, while remaining deeply connected to their history and identity.
The Mursi Collection was inspired by the people we met, the stories they shared and the remarkable beauty of a living culture that continues to inspire through its strength, creativity and enduring spirit.
Every tradition carries a story.
Every story deserves to be honored.
