The Honor The Tribes journey began in Ethiopia, in the extraordinary Omo Valley. Over fifteen days, we spent time with five remarkable communities whose traditions, ceremonies and artistic expressions inspired the first chapter of our story.
The result is The Omo Collection—22 original woven artworks that honor the beauty, identity and living heritage of the people who welcomed us into their world.
Every community carries a story. A story expressed through tradition, ceremony, colour and craftsmanship, passed from one generation to the next. Our artworks are inspired by these encounters, translating the beauty of living cultures into contemporary woven art that honors the people behind every story.
Our journey through Ethiopia was never just about discovering a place. It was about meeting people. For fifteen days, we travelled through the Omo Valley, spending time with communities whose traditions have been carried from one generation to the next for centuries. We listened to their stories, admired their ceremonies, witnessed their artistry and experienced a way of life deeply connected to identity, family and heritage. It was here that Honor The Tribes truly began.
The Ari Collection
The Ari people are one of the largest and most diverse communities in southern Ethiopia, known for their deep connection to the land, their craftsmanship and the traditions that continue to shape everyday life.
Inspired by the people we met and the stories they chose to share, this collection features five original woven artworks. Each piece is a contemporary artistic interpretation that honors the beauty, identity and living heritage of the Ari community.
More than a collection of art, it is a tribute to the people whose traditions continue to inspire generations.
The Karo Colection
Among the communities of the Omo Valley, the Karo are renowned for transforming the human body into a living canvas.
Using white chalk, ochre, charcoal and natural pigments, every design is created by hand. Each pattern is unique, expressing identity, beauty and a tradition that has been passed from one generation to the next.
Inspired by the people we met and the stories they shared, the Karo Collection features four original woven artworks that celebrate this extraordinary artistic heritage.
Not as a reproduction of their body art.
But as a contemporary interpretation that honors the creativity, identity and living traditions of the Karo people.
The Mursi Collection
The Mursi people have preserved a cultural identity that has been shaped over generations.
Their ceremonies, adornments, body painting and traditions are expressions of belonging, resilience and heritage. Every detail tells a story, one that is deeply rooted in community, family and the land they call home.

The Daasanach Collection
Life along the Omo River has shaped the traditions of the Daasanach people for generations.
Surrounded by a landscape that is both beautiful and challenging, they have developed a remarkable culture defined by resilience, creativity and a deep connection to their environment. Their adornments, colours and handcrafted details are not simply decorative, they express identity, community and a way of life that continues to evolve while remaining rooted in tradition.
